ElMetro brand calibration stands for pressure measuring instruments
ElMetro brand calibration stands for pressure measuring instruments are designed for graduation (characterization) and calibration of pressure measuring instruments. One of implemented projects for the Instrument-making Plant is a calibration stand (station) based on three pressure calibrator-controllers ElMetro-Pascal (pressures: 3.5 MPa; 0.7 MPa; 0.2 MPa) and one 8-channel precise multimeter ElMetro-Kelvin. The stand provides simultaneous verification of up to 32 pressure gauges.
For calibration of high pressure gauges (up to 21 MPa) Elmetro offers calibration stand (station) based on PACE 5000 pressure controllers.
Technical characteristics:
- Reproduced pressure range: from 4 kPa to 3.5 MPa (optional: up to 21 MPa).
- Pressure reproduction error: from 0.025% to 0.05%.
- Error of measuring current: 0.01%.
- Simultaneous control of up to 8 gauges and/or pressure sensitive elements.
- The station provides automatic control of a climatic chamber with gauges allocated inside (-50 °С…+20 °С…+60 °С).
- Automatic repeat of required characterization and calibration points.
- Automatic error calculation.
- Self-contained air supply of reference devices.
- Automatic calculation of linear equation coefficients for gauges transfer function.
Features and advantages:
Main features and advantages of calibration stand for measuring present parameters include:
- Сompact size and mobility of the station enable to remove it within the work site if necessary;
- Provides calibration of nearly 80% of possible measurement ranges and gauges types.
- Calibration station is designed on basis of self-developed pressure calibrator-controllers ElMetro-Pascal (3.5 MPa, 0.7 MPa and ± 0.2 MPa) and 8-channel precise multimeter ElMetro-Kelvin that enable to carry out simultaneous verification of up to 32 pressure gauges.
- High pressure gauges (up to 21 MPa) could be calibrated when using PACE 5000 pressure controllers.
Metrology allowance:
Metrology allowance is one of the most important characteristics of the stand since a ration of reference devices total error for pressure and current to the verified gauges measurement error is:
Αp = (γp + γI)/ γД
In accordance to verification procedures for the most of pressure gauges applied in Russia and CIS countries: αр = 0.2...0.5.
The less αр is, the higher validity of verification results is, but it leads to the stand cost increase. It is especially significant during verification of high-precision pressure gauges with accuracy between 0.04 and 0.075%.
For example, in order to set αр = 0.33 for gauges with γД = 0.055% a reference gauge of 0.01 accuracy is required, whereas under αр = 0.5 a reference gauge with 0.015%…0.02 % accuracy will be suitable.
