Input/output module ElMetro-MVV-02
Input/output module ElMetro-IOM-02 is intended for measuring output analog signals of sensors: DC power, voltage, resistance, signals of resistance thermometers and thermal couples, frequency and pulse signals; receiving discrete signals and signals of sensors with NAMUR output, converting them into digital ones, data transmitting within distributed system or to an external control system as well as for converting received data into output digital, discrete or analog signals, mathematical processing of input signals to determine control actions. The module is equipped with Ex-proof of [Exia]IIB/IIC marking.
Application:
Input/output modules ElMetro-IOM-02 (hereinafter referred to as IOM) are components of distributed data collection and control systems. Modules not only could be connected with each other, but also with external control system. In combination with wide range of available configurations it enables to arrange high-efficient and low cost production process control systems, including distributed ones. Availability of Modbus and CAN protocols enables to integrate IOM in existing (or planned) automated automatic technological process control system (ATPCS) at your enterprise, which would ensure quick and easy excess to measurement data, configuration and control operations.
Input/output modules ElMetro-IOM-02 are installed in the field in close vicinity to the sensors that provides following advantages:
- Noninterference at long-distance analog lines;
- Enables to economize on communication lines (especially on temperature compensation cables);
- System becomes more structured, simpler and more accessible for maintenance.
Input/output modules ElMetro-IOM-02 are designed only in Ex-proved type with intrinsically safe circuit protection and [Exia]IIB/IIC marking.
ElMetro-IOM have several configurations which differ by number of channels and executed functions. Module type, number of channels are listed in order codes.
Requirements to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC):
ElMetro-IOM are resistant to interferences in accordance to GOST R 51522.1-2011 (IEC 61326-1:2005) for equipment applied in industrial areas. Standards to industrial radio interferences for equipment of class A 1st group in accordance to GOST R 51318.11-2006 (CISPR 11:2004).
ElMetro-IOM are referred to associated electric equipment of II group in accordance to GOST R 30852.10 2002 (IEC 60079-11:1999). Modules are equipped with intrinsically safe circuit Ex-proof of “ia” level in accordance to GOST R 51330.10 (IEC 60079-11:1999) with [Ex ia] IIС Ex-proof marking.
ElMetro-IOM are intended for installation outside explosion hazardous areas of premises and outdoor facilities and could work mutually with primary transducers which are equipped with intrinsically safe circuit Ex-proof.
Maximum voltage which could be applied to the connecting devices of intrinsically unsafe circuits of associated equipment without intrinsic safety violation: Um = 250 V.
Electric isolation:
Under ambient temperature (23±5)°С and relative humidity 80%:
- electric isolation between intrinsically safe and unsafe circuits undertakes 1500 V AC voltage (rms value) with 45…65 Hz frequency;
- electric isolation between measuring channels (groups of channels) undertakes 500 V AC voltage (rms value) with 45…65 Hz frequency within 1 minute.
Electric resistance of isolation is not less than 20 MOhm under ambient temperature (23±5)°С and relative humidity 80%. Test voltage makes 500 V DC.
Operating conditions:
- ambient temperatures from -20 to +60 °С;
- relative humidity in percent is up to 95% under +35 °С, non-condensation;
- atmosphere pressure is between 84 and 106.7 kPa (between 630 and 800 mm of mercury).
Modules ingress protection rating corresponds to IP20 in accordance to GOST 14254.
Modules are resistant to vibration impacts of a relevant N2 group in accordance to GOST R 52931.

Module weight is not more than 0.5 kg.
Reliability:
Mean time between failures – not less than 40 000 h. Average life-time – not less than 10 years.
Power consumption:
Modules are powered by a power supply unit of 4.9…5.5 V DC voltage.
